Dazzle Them With DIGITAL: Using Digital Cameras for Reading and Writing in the Classroom

Each participant will bring a digital camera, take digital pictures, and learn cutting-edge strategies to help turn kids onto content area reading materials. A unique workshop! Teachers will learn how to get started with digital photography, where to get cameras, and how to develop lesson ideas using digital cameras to enhance teaching across the disciplines. There will be Readers’ Theater Activities to enhance both writing and reading using technology!

Intended Audience: Teachers (grades 2-6), Reading Coaches, University Professors, Administrators, and anyone interested in promoting the Love of Reading and Writing!

*Personal attendance letters will be sent to all participants for IPEGS.

Cost:$40 for current 2010-2011 DRC Members 

Complimentary Continental Breakfast and Check-In begins at 7:30 a.m.

Bring a bag lunch or order a Box Lunch. There won’t be time to leave campus.
